Reciprocal Borrowing and Inter Library Loan

The Tenafly Public Library is a Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS) member providing residents with access to the resources of 74 consortium member libraries. BCCLS libraries share a computer network and a common library catalog. Any resident with a valid home library card may borrow materials from any BCCLS member library in-person or online through the shared catalog.

Library materials may be returned to any BCCLS member library. Overdue fines are accessed according to the fine policy of the library which owns the materials.

You may use your Tenafly Library card for in-person borrowing at 150+ participating libraries in Morris, Passaic, Middlesex, Sussex and Warren counties through the Open Borrowing program. Obtain a green open borrowing sticker from the Tenafly Library before visiting these out-of-county libraries.

Materials may also be obtained through a state inter-library loan system. See a reference librarian for assistance with inter-library loan requests.
