Summer Story Times are every Thursday morning
June 25 to August 13 at 11:00 a.m.
Our Summer Story Times are held each week on Thursday and will be planned for children from the ages of 2 to 5 years. Caregivers are always welcome to stay and be involved with story time. Everyone is welcome to join us for 2-3 stories. Sessions often also include finger plays, songs, or other activities that get children and caregivers up and moving. The sessions most often end with a small project for the children to complete and take home.
Exposure to a wide variety of language is a key element of speech development in young children. While most children attending Summer Story Times are already verbal, the exposure to new words and new concepts still help them develop a wide vocabulary and a curiosity about the world and how it works. We select books for our story times on themes as well as the content and interest level. We strive to select books which are interesting sounding when read aloud, visually appealing, and culturally diverse.
